OmiseGO [OMG] partners with Ethereum [ETH]’s client, Status

Status, an open source mobile dApp browser and messenger built on the Ethereum blockchain, recently tweeted the announcement of its partnership with OmiseGo.

OmiseGo is one of the biggest players in on-chain and cross-chain transactions, interoperability, and Plasma scalability research. Prior to the partnership, the two teams have also had a close relationship through mutual research projects. Recently, Status and OmiseGo had also connected with each other via Ethereum Community Fund.

The role of OmiseGO in the partnership is to build financial tools for an open infrastructure. On the other hand, Status will focus on the distribution and adoption of these tools around the world. Both the teams will work towards the common goal of introducing a new world of equality, distribution and openness on the Ethereum public blockchain.

The goal also extends to collaboration and a seamless integration of DEX, a decentralized exchange, to assist with scalability research. Status and OmiseGo have not just partnered for the immediate results but are looking at a long-term successful future together, with the enhancement of their web3 ecosystem in mind. The partnership also aims at transforming the economy and introducing decentralization into the current financial systems.

On the new partnership, Jun Hasgewa, the Founder, and CEO of OmiseGO said:

“The mission of OMG is to put the capabilities of crypto to work for the needs of the real world; Status brings great value to the OMG Network with a multifaceted user-facing platform leveraging OMG’s back-end infrastructure. This partnership is a step forward for our respective projects, the community and the blockchain industry.”

Moreover, OmiseGO SDK is also thought to be integrated into the native wallet for an easy access to DEX. On cross-collaborations like these, the integration process will become smooth and give their user-base a chance to drop feedbacks for the OMG Network.
