Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin Cash, Monero are now payment options for Tutanota

Tutanota has announced that it is now supporting several cryptocurrencies as payment options. Henceforth, users will be able to donate to Tutanota with Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin Cash and Monero. The Germany based open-source end-to-end encrypted email software service provider, mentioned in its blog: “We are very happy to announce that we have started integrating cryptocurrency support to Tutanota!”

Tutanota also posted the news on Twitter stating: “We plan to add cryptocurrencies as a payment option to Tutanota once we push our new client & apps out of beta.”

Consistently keeping an eye on the market, made the company realize it is not only Bitcoin that are the crypto market favours. It is the other currencies as well. The company is of the opinion that although the 2017-2018 time period witnessed a major hurl in the crypto market, it wasn’t easy for Tutanota to add cryptocurrency support.

Tutanota’s belief in cryptocurrencies

“Tutanota have always been in support for cryptocurrencies because we welcome the idea of a decentralized payment method that works independent of centralized payment processors such as banks or credit card institutions.”

In order to advance the existing performance, design and speed of adding new features, the cryptocurrency support, postponed its crypto support last year and rebuild its “encrypted email client from scratch”. Tutanota is now looking forward to test the efficiency of payment processing automation.

What is Tutanota planning?

Tutanota aspires to be the end-to-end support of all the cryptocurrencies and has said that it will accept Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether and Monero for donations. Tutanota has planned to “use these donation wallets to gain experiences in how to handle payments with these cryptocoins and how to process payments automatically”.

The company stated that its new client as well as the new Android app are now available in beta and later on the iOS app update will be coming.
